Social Evening 7/11/19 Noson Gymdeithasol

We will be holding a social evening from 7.30pm on Thursday Nov 7th upstairs in Doheny and Nesbitt’s, Lower Baggot Street, Dublin, which will give all members and friends the chance to get together and relax and chat over a few drinks and get up to date with all the news and gossip.    We will kick the evening off with our annual meeting, leaving plenty of time for socialising afterwards.  We are expecting representatives of the Welsh government, Global Wales and Wales Week Worldwide to be there, so there will be a chance to hear about their plans for building up a Welsh presence in Ireland over the coming period and particularly some exciting news about St. David’s Day 2020.   This will be a great opportunity for us as a society to build links with other similarly-minded organisations in order to create a strong Welsh representation in Ireland.

If you haven’t been to any of our functions before, then come along and enjoy a good night out in the company of fellow Welsh people and their friends, and help us to continue to promote friendship and solidarity in the Welsh community in Ireland.  No pre-booking required, just turn up on the night.

Byddwn yn cynnal noson gymdeithasol o 7.30pm ymlaen ar nos Iau Tachwedd 7fed i fyny’r grisiau yn Doheny a Nesbitt’s, Lower Baggot Street, Dulyn, a fydd yn rhoi cyfle i’r holl aelodau a ffrindiau ddod at ei gilydd ac ymlacio a sgwrsio dros ychydig o ddiodydd ac i gadw lan â’r holl newyddion a chlecs. Byddwn yn cychwyn y noson gyda’n cyfarfod blynyddol, gan adael digon o amser i gymdeithasu wedyn. Rydym yn disgwyl i gynrychiolwyr llywodraeth Cymru, Global Wales a Wales Week Worldwide i fod yno, felly bydd cyfle i glywed am eu cynlluniau ar gyfer adeiladu presenoldeb Cymreig yn Iwerddon dros y cyfnod i ddod ac yn arbennig rhywfaint o newyddion cyffrous am Ddydd Gŵyl Dewi 2020. Bydd hwn yn gyfle gwych i ni fel cymdeithas adeiladu cysylltiadau â sefydliadau eraill o’r un fath er mwyn creu cynrychiolaeth Gymreig gref yn Iwerddon.

Os nad ydych chi wedi bod i unrhyw un o’n cyfarfodydd o’r blaen, dewch draw i fwynhau noson hwylus yng nghwmni cyd-Cymry a’u ffrindiau, er mwyn i ni barhau i hyrwyddo cyfeillgarwch a chydsafiad yn y gymuned Gymreig yn Iwerddon. ‘Does dim angen archebu ymlaen llaw, dim ond troi i fyny ar y noson.

Global Welsh next Dublin meeting / cyfarfod nesaf Dulyn

Thank you to all that came on 30 August to Sophie’s, it was lovely to meet you all and to introduce myself a bit more and the aims and progression of the GlobalWelsh initiative. As mentioned before, any questions can be directed to me or go to GlobalWelsh.com.  I understand that a lot of people have work or kids to deal with/look after on a Friday night. If it’s better that we do meet ups another time, please let me know and we’ll try our best to accommodate everyone. GlobalWelsh Dublin Hub

My name is Evan, I’m the new head of the GlobalWelsh Dublin Hub – GlobalWelsh being a community of Welsh people wanting to network and invest in Wales. A number of city hubs have been set up already, to find out more please visit www.globalwelsh.com and feel free to register! I suggest the best way forward is for us to have two more meetings where we try to find more people who could come and to get to know each other better. This way if people are on holiday or have other plans next month, they have at least enough time to plan for the second meeting. I’ll also talk to them about opening an official DublinHub Facebook or Linkedin page where we can all join up.

Global Welsh Cwtch in Dublin 26/7/19

Helo o Gymru!

Apologies this has taken so long, but thought you may like to share this with your members.

 The first ‘Inaugural Global Welsh Cwtch’ will be held at 37 Dawson Street in Dublin on Friday July 26th at 6.30pm.

 Global Welsh is an organisation that is connecting the Welsh diaspora across the world to create a network of people who are Welsh or with connections to Wales.

Take a look at their website or Twitter; Facebook; LinkedIn or Instagram … they’re a phenomenal crowd who have already launched a hub in London and Tokyo and the hope is to launch the next in Dublin as they work towards connecting all of us Cymry across the world.

 I’m flying over for what they’re referring to as ‘The Inaugural Global Welsh Cwtch’ so would be great to meet you!
